Curriculum Structure

Core Area (min. 18 ECTS)
Building on your BSc studies, you need to choose modules with a minimum of 18 ECTS credits that address advanced topics within the following core areas of computer science:
  • Algorithms and Data Structures
  • Practical Computer Science
  • Theoretical Computer Science
  • Technical Computer Science
  • Digital Transformation
Specialization Areas (min. 72 ECTS)
You can select 39 ECTS from one specialization area and 18 ECTS from other areas. You can further choose interdisciplinary modules and obtain additional qualifications, e.g., how to manage a start-up.
  • Data Analytics
  • Scientific Computing
  • Computer Engineering
  • Transdisciplinary modules (min. 9 ECTS)
  • Additional qualifications (min. 6 ECTS)
MSc Thesis (30 ECTS)

The Master thesis gives you the opportunity to scientifically address a question in an area of your choice. The awarded degree certifies that you are able to address a problem based on state-of-the-art research and scientific methods.
